Audrey is a passionate, lifelong learner who embodies our core values of Excellence, Passion, Innovation, and Courage. With a rich background in education management and leadership, she has consistently driven positive change and fostered supportive learning environments. She began her career with Fusion in 2017 as Campus Director for Futures Academy in Southern California. In this role, Audrey played a pivotal role in enhancing student engagement and strengthening academic success across multiple campuses. In 2021, Audrey joined the virtual services team at Fusion Education Group. As the Head of School for Fusion Global, she significantly contributed to the school’s rapid growth over the past four years. Audrey was a key member of the team that introduced Fusion to the world, and today, FEG proudly serves students globally.

Audrey is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals, being a dedicated thought partner to families, and wholeheartedly believes in the transformational power of education. To Audrey, finding the right solution for families is “that important.” Her commitment to education extends to her advocacy for the passionate educators at Fusion, as evidenced by her doctoral work focused on improving teacher retention. Audrey is excited to continue building a thriving workplace of choice and contributing to the innovative and supportive community at Fusion Education Group’s global campus.

Outside of her professional life, Audrey enjoys reading, crafting, baking, and exploring new places with her family. She might be Fusion’s foremost expert on Taylor Swift and boasts a personal reading collection of over 750 books. She and her husband Andrew are proud parents of five adult children and doting grandparents to their grandson Ty, with a new addition to the family arriving in February 2025. Audrey holds a BS in Human Resource Management and Marketing, an MS in Management and Leadership, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership.

Cassandra is the Head of School at Fusion Global Academy. She graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and History, Eastern Michigan University with a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, and the University of Pennsylvania with a graduate certificate in virtual online teaching.

As a teacher, Cassandra taught English courses at middle and high schools throughout Metro Detroit, Michigan. She piloted a blending learning program for at-risk students in the alternative setting before starting her career in fully-online education at a public online charter school serving students across the state of Michigan. There, Cassandra served many roles, including English teacher, English Content Coach, and High School Assistant Principal.

When she’s not at work, Cassandra enjoys volunteering at schools, churches, and with civic organizations in her community. She can often be found participating in various events and documenting them in photos.

Vanessa earned her degrees in education from Western Governors University and currently holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and a masters in Physics education. She worked at a college preparatory academy in Florida for 8 years, where she earned recognition as teacher of the year. She worked for FGA as a math teacher before becoming the Assistant Director for Mathematics, and now the Campus Director – Academics.

In her free time, she enjoys reading books and cooking. One of her favorite things to do is make extravagant dinners and desserts. She worked in the veterinary field for 16 years before becoming a teacher, where she began as a pet groomer and became a certified veterinary technician. She also was born in Montreal, Canada, where she often visits family. Although not as fluent as she used to be, her elementary schooling was entirely in French and she still speaks the language.

Cassie serves Fusion Global Academy as the Campus Director – Student Services. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University. Prior to moving into virtual teaching, Cassie taught in brick and mortar school for two years.

In 2015, she made the move to virtual teaching at a public virtual charter school in Michigan, where she served first as a mathematics teacher then moved into the role of high school mathematics lead teacher. When she’s not working, Cassie enjoys being outdoors and loves to spend time hiking and kayaking. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Nicolette Rini graduated from Carroll University with degrees in Math and Business Finance, and a minor in Communication. Since joining the education industry, she has earned additional certificates in project management, change management, and education leadership.

Nicolette began her professional career as small business consultant for a Fortune 100 company. After years of traveling, Nicolette settled in Seattle, WA and began working for a family-owned tutoring company. She worked her way through many roles before becoming the Branch Director of Chicago. Nicolette eventually left the tutoring company to teach full-time as a Math, Science, and History teacher at Fusion Academy Oak Brook. She became the Director of Student Life in November 2020, and the Director of Student Services in 2021. In August of 2024, she joined the Fusion Global Academy team as the Campus Director of Enrollment.

Nicolette lives in the Chicago suburbs with her two kids and husband. She is an avid audiobook listener and enjoys being a carpooler for her kids sports and activities. Her favorite thing to do is cook meals and host parties for her family.
