Troy Bernardo

Troy went to college in Miami at Florida International University and graduated with a degree in psychology with a double minor in history and religious studies. After completing his bachelor’s degree, Troy moved to Alaska and did environmental work through an Americorps program. He then moved to Jinju, South Korea and taught English for a year. From there, he moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota and did another Americorps program that worked to close the achievement gap in lower socio-economic neighborhoods. Troy returned to school and got his master’s degree in communications education from Augsburg University and graduated in May 2019.

Troy taught humanities at Fusion in San Diego, California for over a year, and now resides in Saint Petersburg, Florida. His love of Fusion and their teaching approach made him want to continue with them virtually through Fusion Global Academy. Troy likes reading, camping, writing, driving, and cats.
