Fusion Global Academy offers students a robust catalog of Advanced Placement® courses. These courses are designed to prepare students for college-level work by offering college-level curriculum. Students who decide to complete an AP® course, take an AP® exam, and achieve a qualifying exam score may receive college credit in accordance with individual colleges’ policies.
Students may take any of our AP® courses in our Fusion 1:1 instructional model. Students meet with their teacher live in Zoom for a total of 30 instructional sessions, usually scheduled twice a week. Students will also receive guidance for additional required coursework, reading, and homework outside of the live sessions each week.
Several of our AP® courses are also offered through our Global Anytime program. In these courses, students have 24/7 access to the content so they can create a schedule that works for them. The courses are built to be independently driven and paced to be completed in 18 weeks per term.
An AP® teacher of record will provide quality feedback in response to student work within the course. Students taking AP® courses through the Global Anytime program may also enroll in 1:1 tutoring and mentoring sessions in order to assist with content questions and course progress.
Students will also create a College Board® account and connect with their teacher’s AP® classroom within AP® Central. Students will complete progress checks within their College Board® account in addition to their AP® coursework. Due to the nature of the rigor and time commitment, every AP® course requires 8 hours of student work each week, on average, over the duration of the course.
Courses noted with an asterisk* are only offered through one-to-one instruction. All other courses are offered one-to-one and asynchronously through our Global Anytime program.
Fusion Global Academy is a fully accredited school, and our AP® courses are credit-bearing. Fusion Global Academy strongly recommends that students take AP exams. For students who opt to take AP exams, families are responsible for finding a testing location, registering for the exam, and paying any associated fees for their student to take the AP® exam in the spring of the academic year.
