Melody Giraldo is the Assistant Director of World Language at Fusion Global Academy. She is originally from Michigan, but her love for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture has led her to study abroad in Spain and to live and work in Columbia, South America. Melody is a lifelong learner. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Hispanic Studies at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a master’s degree in teaching at Wayne State University, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership at American College of Education. She is certified to teach Spanish and ESL classes.
Melody has extensive experience teaching in both traditional and virtual classrooms. She loves facilitating online learning helping students build digital literacy skills. She started her career at a private school in Michigan, then moved to Columbia to teach ESL. She later moved to Miami, Florida to teach at a charter school and made the change to virtual teaching eight years ago. She now lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband and daughter. She enjoys yoga, volunteering, and gardening.
